NEWS Feb 10, 2024 Florence Airport Will Add Rooftop Vineyard in New Terminal to Promote Wine Tourism Florence Airport (FLR), formally known as Amerigo Vespucci Airport, is undergoing a terminal modernization project. Rafael Viñoly Architects, the firm responsible for the transformation, recently revealed more details about the renovation. The small tourist-heavy airport will construct a 38-row, 19-acre vineyard on the roof of the new terminal building. The airport has not witnessed a major renovation since 1999.
